In 2025, the Best Practices Team will have one remote day per month. We'll meet on TYPO3 Slack for a day of general housework and working through our backlog. While we may not complete all our goals, this sprint is an excellent opportunity to learn and collaborate.

At the beginning of February 2025, TYPO3 Core developer Oliver Bartsch will return to FOSDEM, an enormous open-source event in Brussels. I had the opportunity to talk with him about his previous visit, in February 2024.

Highlights included the TYPO3 Surfcamp, TYPO3 Developer Days, the TYPO3 Conference, and increased engagement across the community. This year laid the groundwork for even bigger opportunities in 2025.

With Markdown, contributors can create and edit documentation using a format that's both simpler and more intuitive. This helps to break down the barriers of programming. If needed, you can switch to ReST later, for more advanced features.

Web Camp Venlo will celebrate its tenth anniversary from 13 to 15 February 2025. This milestone event will bring together professionals and enthusiasts in web development, PHP, TYPO3, frontend technologies, and open source in Venlo, The Netherlands.
